Tulips Motif

The tulip motif design captures the traditions of the Ottoman Empire. It was well known that the tulip was the favorite flower of the Sultans. Tulips were commonly used as ornamental plants and ornaments designs in the Ottoman Empire period, especially through the 16th to 18th century. From the characteristics of the flower, it represented strength, resilience and longevity. The Turkish word for tulip is "Lale" and it is said that these letters are the letters for the word 'Allah'.
