Nature's Blossom Motif This motif design uses the geometric shape the Octagon having eight sides. When we place a square to exactly overlap another square in the design, an eight-pointed star is formed thus enclosing an octagon at their center. This symbolizes the passive and dynamic aspects of the four elements and relates to the hot, cold, moist and dry polarities. A square represents earth or materiality.
